ADBTuner: A "channel tuning" application for networked Google TV / Android TV devices

Because you have to add atuner.... It has to know what device you are going to use in order to find what packages are installed.

when i add my firestick it says that it is using an old version 6 and it does not change regardless of how much i update it

Because ADBTUNER does not support Android 6 you are SOL. That is an old Firestick.... or has not been updated.

im sorry what is SOL? and would an xfinity flex box work?

its a 4k and i have tried to update it multiple times

Can you post a screenshot of what your tuner looks like on ADBTUNER ?

I was able to find another firestick that is of the correct updated version but still nothing shows up when i click on "select from installed"

Please post the picture so we can verify it is connected AND communicating with adbtuner just like @Edwin_Perez posted his.

I think i got it thanks

When I choose to play a video from a provider like paramount, the page asking me to select my profile shows up and then nothing happens, is there anyway to bypass this please?

Read this about profiles ... Click on the link below.

I dont understand what that has to do with what I am saying im sorry i just dont get it?

could you explain it to me please?

I tried adding more profiles but nothing

No way to "bypass" it, but the developer of this project has included some automation to deal with it.

@Edwin_Perez linked you to one of the posts describing the problem, and a workaround for dealing with the spotlight effect on user profiles that prevents the built-in automation from recognizing it. The post includes a screenshot example of the problem, and describes a potential solution.

thanks but the automation that you speak of is it the adb experimental docker?

As you can see from this Docker Hub screenshot, experimental, stable and latest are all the same now (same digest values):

ooh okay, thank you so much and one last thing: Does the "enable compatibility mode" have to be checked for the automation to work?

No. That's for apps that don't reliably work with deeplinks with the app open continuously. When compatibility mode is enabled, the app you're using is force-closed after each virtual tune.

ok thank you so much sir you were of a lot of help
