ADBTuner: A "channel tuning" application for networked Google TV / Android TV devices

I'm glad someone finally said it...
You made me literally laugh out loud...

This looks pretty...VERY...awesome...if I understand correctly, I can (for example) use the Hallmark linear channel link above in ADBBtuner to record scheduled Hallmark movies just like I can with Sling. The setup is the same. Forgive the dumb question, but thought I would ask before replacing my Firesticks.

Added in a $20 Onn4k Streaming box. Setup as usual. Will tune to the Peacock home page and play the ad, but not the requested Hallmark show. I assume I am missing something obvious?

URL encoding?

Yes. My bad. (feels sheepish)
I actually did the URL encoding and then proceeded to copy and paste the wrong line in from notepad.
All working now.

Question- In order to make the ADB Tuner container to work, will need to purchase an HDMI decoder box? I have the container installed in Docker, and have the ONN4K streaming box in debug mode. Also, Do I need to log into the streaming services I have paid for on the ONN box?

Yes to HDMI encoder box ... You have to at least Start the APP on ONN make sure it works. It should Auto Login once the App Starts ... but you need to set them up initially on ONN.

Thanks for your reply.

Once the box or boxes if you have more than one are logged into the accounts that support deep links, all should be good providing all stuff is setup on the ADBTuner web interface.

I can confirm Peacock live channels are working with both Chromecast Google TV 4K and ONN 4K Pro devices with ADBTuner. Great work miles and thanks for posting!

To anyone- Have you found this program to worth it? I will need to purchase a HDMi encoder which will bring the cost with ONN box to $150 or so. Then I see people have more than one streaming box plugged into a multiple HDMI box, which is even more cost.

@ZWells
I certainly think it is...and I am sure most of the people hanging out in ADBTuner and ah4c threads do also I bet.
Originally I was using hdhomerun and tveverywhere. But TVE has fewer and fewer channels every week as more and more tv stations do away with it.
But with these programs (ADBTuner and ah4c) I can get all these stations into CDVR for myself and relatives. In the case of spectrum, it doesn't take long to pay for this setup with what they are charging for cable boxes and everyone moving away from Cablecards.
Also I can have a familar interface no matter which services I choose to have...YoutubeTV, Hulu Live, Fubu TV, Spectrum, Philo...and all the ones that don't need this curently like Friendly and Pluto.

It's absolutely been worth it for me. I've been using it with YoutubeTV and Max. It's been working very well with those. For me it makes CDVR much more complete when you can still incorporate the networks that have stopped supporting TVE.

Definitely worth it. If you have Sling, TVE is not much of an option. Channels is far more sports friendly; the family loves the integration into one interface of OTA and cloud services.

I agree with what others have said, definitely worth it. I find ADBtuner with a quad HDMI box and ONN 4K Pro's very stable. I use the ONN 4K Pro's to get the built in ethernet at a reasonable cost. I have wired my home and my in-laws so that all CDVR traffic is on wired connections. I did use Hulu Live 1st but switched to YTTV after a few months. Both houses use ATV 4k's on all the TV's since we are primarily Apple users and also HDHR's at each site. I have a private wireguard VPN between the sites so we can easily share CDVR content between each site if needed. My wife and in-laws really like how everything works. This is one of my retirement projects since I was a long time systems engineer and love to tinker with tech.

Can one ONN box and one encoder be enough? I have Max, peacock, paramount MGM and sling? Based on the description. Looks like I can get with one? Also it seems like the scripts are a little complicated and I not sure if I completely understand the scripting process.

If you only need one tuner then it would be enough. As far as scripting, you are thinking of the other project AH4C. I've been doing scripts for a long time and I abandoned that project as it was just a little too complicated for me. Not putting it down mind you, just not a fit for me. Adbtuner is pretty much no scripting at all.

Clarify- the correct URL script or syntax the you enter on the ADB tuner web page.
