Anyone using Channels DVR with Freesat in the UK?

I’m not sure exactly.

I’m using TVHeadend & followed the guide posted by @hepto earlier in this thread.

I am using the “England HD: W Mids/Central W“ bouquet that was produced by TVHeadend after following the guide

I'm trying to see if I can get it but for some reason TVH is not now mapping that bouquets channels.

Are you saying that you just don't have a channel 103 / ITV HD at all now?

I can see from this auto generated bouquet viewer here that the bouquet does have a 103 / ITV HD, and cross referencing it to here (as having all the information in one place would be too easy, right?), that it is the right ITV1 for Central West, as @kyl416 suggests.

So the broadcast data looks correct, and I think the issue is local to your setup, but until I get my own TVH mapping that particular bouquet I can't confirm if it is working or not ...

OK, finally got it mapping that bouquet and can see in TVHeadend that it is getting a channel 103, but for some reason it is not picking up the name (or icon). If you play it, it is the right one. Maybe this is related to what @kyl416 said and it will update soon. :man_shrugging:

That means in Channels it also won't appear by name so maybe your mapping has been lost, but you can simply map Channel 103 - "20700" to the correct ITV1 EPG data for that channel.

Then in Channels the EPG for the chosen channel will be shown. The logo shown will depend on how you have the source set up.

Must say, although it works, I really wish there was a way to create the M3U to point directly at the SAT>IP tuner instead of proxying it through TVHeadend. Just had a quick search and doesn't seem like anyone has solved that since last time I looked.

Thanks for your replies guys.

I have only realised that this forum is primarily for support for "Channels" which I don't actually use, I discovered this post after searching around on the internet for help with using TVHeadend with FreeSat.
I only make use of TVHeadend so I won't take up any more of your time as it doesn't seem fair of me to do so.

Thanks again though

No worries. What are you using as a front end to view? I suspect it's the same issue.

I use the TVHeadEnd PVR client on a couple of boxes running Kodi.

FWIW, I have manually renamed the “20700” channel to ITV1 HD in TVHeadend & it seems to be working OK again for now, so thank you again for your pointers, it helped put me on the right path to getting my set up working again
