Saankhya Labs, fabless semiconductor company has announced multi-standard (including ATSC3/ATSC1) demodulator chipset. Our customers (STB, gateway, tablet and dongle makers) have plans to roll out nextgenTV products by end of 2020!
They came up with adapters to convert the digital signal into analog so your old TV would continue to work.
You're asking for the opposite. It would be like asking for an adapter to make an old analog TV display with 480 lines display 1920x1080 HD content.
Apparently there will be adapters by the end of the year, but they will also need to plug into an HDMI port
That's not for the HDHR.
In addition to a new tuner, you probably will need a new DVR server if you plan on watching/recording/comskipping the same amount of shows that you currently do.
