Automatic rescheduling of failed, delayed, corrupted, interrupted recordings

Hi all!
I thought that this subject may have been addressed before. But, I couldn't figure out how to word my query to find out.

Some of us, particularly using TVE as a source, receive both east and west coast feeds of some channels. Of my particular interest is Turner Classic Movies (TCM). TCM: 6039, TCMP: 6040.

I typically schedule recording to run on the east coast feed, ch 6039. That way, if an error is identified in the recording, I can jump in and manually schedule the same program before it starts on the west coast channel 6040. I get a notification by OliveTin for Channels action "Email Log Alerts" using the filter "[DVR] Error"

I'm wondering if there is a way to automate this process so that recording errors trigger the same program to run again on a different channel or source. Specifically, I'd like TCM to automatically fail over to TCMP, which runs the identical programming three hours behind.

In my Chrome extension, I added the option to mark recordings as "Not Recorded". As soon as you do it for one recording, the DVR will automatically record the same program again the next time it airs.

That's a manual action.

Now I'm thinking that if I could make my extension monitor the states of recordings, it could automatically mark delayed and corrupted/interrupted recordings as "Not Recorded". That would trigger the DVR to record the next airing of the same programs.

I don't know if I can pull this off but I'll look into it.

I love your Chrome extension, and the "Mark as Not Recorded" is a great function. If you could add the option to automate this feature, based upon recording integrity, it would be amazing!

For east coast programs longer than three hours, to catch the next airing on the west coast feed, we would need to be able to catch the errors on the fly, rather than at the conclusion of the first recording.
