I had to sign in on playon first in my browser first then added the source after. Linked then worked

Great job guys. This is working for me. I recorded a few shows and they downloaded to Channels. While watching one show I noticed the commercials didn't skip. In the web Admin screen for the show I was watching, there is an option to redetect commercials but no corresponding edit commercials options. I ran redetect commercials but still no option to edit. Is this by design?

PlayOn recordings are not being processed with comskip at the moment.

What source are you recording from that has commercials?

I'm recording from Tubi. It does seem to get processed by comskip. The edit commercials option appeared after refreshing the screen. Timestamps are a mess, but worked.

Just tried it again and it worked. This is a good feature but what advantage does Playon Cloud have over regular playon ... I currently download from playon locally and gets imported into Channels DVR ... just wondering.

I think there's a permissions error with the DVR trying to create /shares/PlayOn ?

whats strange is that the folders are all there - even though it says its not there

so it was able to write the folders and then had a permissions issue - this is unraid but i've never had a problem writing files before

There wouldn't be if you have it set up already and working. But some people don't run Windows, or only have a NAS. In these cases the cloud product is useful.

Just installed 2021.02.02.1919 and the option to add PlayOn Cloud as a source is no longer present.

Sorry, fixing for next build.

With the next build, commercials will automatically be skipped for playon recordings. Comskip is not used because the recordings already have commercial markers inserted by PlayOn.
