awesome. one thing, I have some profile 7's and fallback to HDR worked fine, now it tries to play DV 7 which obviously you dont support. what can be done while keeping DV that you do support playing and falling back the others?
ps, this is on a non DV TV, DV profile 5 and 8 fallback perfectly.
diagnostics submitted if it helps.
@AeroR1 Can you submit diagnostics after you play?
What did it do before and what does it do now?
just did, I edited the above post.
before it fellback to HDR fine on a non DV TV, now it does the above.
@AeroR1 Could you take a sample of the video:
ffmpeg -ss 00:05:00 -i '<video>.mkv' -t 10 -c copy output.mkv
and then upload it to our dropbox: https://www.dropbox.com/request/MMjICRc053JJpSBPDIfQ
Yep, having the same issue with Profile 7 (on iPhone). Regular app plays correctly (must be dropping to HDR) - beta version has all sorts of odd green color stuff going on lol.
Thanks we are able to reproduce the P7 bug.
That did resolve the color issue but I am noticing one minor issue yet. Even though it's not actually able to play Profile 7, it is still triggering my TV to Dolby Vision (should be HDR10).
I confirmed with the same title using Infuse and it triggers HDR10 as expected.
And just like that, it appears that the latest version just published resolved that issue! Thanks for the quick turnaround!
As of the latest pre-release server, content is correctly tagged as Dolby Vision
I can see the Dolby Vision tag in my library now, but the tag isn't showing in the latest client - I assume an update needs to happen for that yet? Thanks!
It will need its own update.
As of the latest TestFlight beta, content is tagged Dolby Vision appropriately.
I joined the testflight. I tried several pieces of DV content and everything played fine, no more green/purple tinted pictures. This is a great improvement from my previous trouble with DV ! All content is properly tagged as having DV.
Now I will need to troubleshoot my setup a bit, as I am afraid my AV receiver is not allowing my projector to go into full DV mode. Tomorrow I will bypass the AV receiver and go directly from apple tv to projector and finally maybe I will see the full glory of DV.
This was released in version 6.2. Thanks for the help!
