I went to AMC and logged in and started over and it got the channel process going. Now I can't get any channels to sync up but at least it created the tuner...

Makes sesne. The tips for YTTV mention logging into NBC first before trying to add the source.
If it tries authenticating AMC first, then logging in there first (instead of NBC) would also work.
