So I have my BD disc collection ripped and imported into Channels. However, right now I don't intend to rip my UHD collection but I would still like to catalog and display them in Channels. Any way to do that?
Thanks

Yeah...I don't think Channels support that. The only thing they support is the movie and the extras and most likely you'll have to use MakeMKV to get it to a format that Channels can use
Without having the actual video files on the disk, I think maybe you could create stream links to the equivalent movies on streaming services.
This way, they will appear in your Channels library, with the added benefit of launching the corresponding apps to watch them. Of course, not the same quality as actual rips.
You could always just create an empty file with the appropriate filename for Channels to scan; ie.:
touch /movies/Batman\ Begins\ (2005)/Batman\ Begins.mkv
Unfortunately empty files will no longer scan. That was changed quite awhile ago.
I used to do that to test imports, but it no longer works.
I did create a small video file and named it with the correct format and that works. I’m thinking that may be the only way forward for this particular project.
Maybe @maddox can tell you what the minimum file size is.
I'm using a 1.5MB, 2 second MP4 that I copy and rename for testing purposes.
Thanks
I just created one that is 60kb and that works. I'm guessing as long as the file has the correct type of header/tag that it will work.
