Create channels-dvr

#!/bin/bash
curl -sS -o /dev/null -X PUT http://127.0.0.1:8089/updater/check/prerelease

then

$ chmod +x channels-dvr

and move it to /etc/cron.daily

$ mv channels-dvr /etc/cron.daily

I'm confused, why would you need this, channels updates itself

prerelease updates do not happen automatically

Not to mention there are reasons you may not want to automate it.

Just to defend our quality (not that we’re at all perfect), the crasher release was meant to be an Apple client release. There was never a crasher on the server.

@chDVRuser’s advice still applies though and why we don’t offer auto updates on pre-release.
