Channels DVR New Release?

Hi,

It's been 4 months since the last update to Channels DVR.

Is there currently new development being done?

The last stable release was in November. The last beta release was last week.

Is there a way to get on the beta releases? I've been using channels for years and would be happy to try out latest/greatest versions to help where I can.

@lehighbri to get the latest DVR server beta, just shift-click on "Check for Update" on my.channelsdvr.net.

I'm curious also, Not that I've seen.

Another question is if the beta causes issues, how do you go back to the latest stable/release version without uninstalling and reinstalling Channels DVR.

@cculpepp Take a database backup, uninstall, re-install, restore from backup

It is actually much simpler than that. In the channels-dvr application directory, there are the last 5 previous versions, plus the current version.... and a symlink called "latest". Whatever you set the "lastest" symlink to is what version Channels DVR will start up as. So just change the symlink and restart the DVR.
