Channels for macOS - full screen mode and mouse cursor

Hello, I am using the app on macOS and when I play a video full screen, the mouse cursor never hides. The best I can do is move it to the bottom right corner, but even then the tip of the mouse cursor is shown. Every other video player app automatically hides the mouse cursor after a few seconds of non-movement. Can Channels please implement this feature? Thank you.

Channels for Mac OS is just an iPad version of the app running on Mac OS, so it's probably not accounting for the mouse cursor because the iPad doesn't really use a mouse cursor in most situations, at least as far as I'm aware.

If you look in Playground, I wrote an unofficial client that might be helpful, but I don't want to really promote it outside of Playground. The client I wrote is not supported by FancyBits. Keep that in mind. It's completely unofficial. I just thought it might help you with the mouse cursor thing because some people seem to like it. Although I think it's kind of unremarkable.

Sorry, mackid1993, I'm unmarking your reply as the solution as I am looking for a fix from the officially supported app. I understand Channels still doesn't have a Mac native app and instead they are allowing the iPad version to run, but iPadOS natively supports mice/trackpads so it's not like there is no API to deal with mouse cursors/pointers.

I did not mark it as the solution. It was marked as the solution by the developer of the app.
@maddox is one of the founders of Channels and marked my answer as the solution, so good luck.

The reply was marked as the answer because of his mention that it was just the iPad app.

It’s just the iPad app. It’s not built or maintained to work on macOS, we just let it as a convenience.

We don’t make a macOS app.

In @AeroR1’s linked post above, they provided information showing that the mouse cursor can be made to disappear in full screen. I understand that Channels doesn’t make a native macOS app, but why is Channels so opposed to either developing one or making relatively small improvements to the experience of running the iPad app on macOS?

It's a team of three people. They're focused on tvOS primarily as far as I'm aware.
There's a broad community of related software and I told you I took the time to build a native cross-platform Mac Linux and Windows app written in Rust. It's been pretty well received by the community. Feel free to use it, it's free.
