Funny I posted about this..... I always check for existence of all folders before pruning.

Auto prune deleted?

You can set up a cron job or windows task ... but one thing to remember if using external storage and it becomes disconnected for some reason it will prune all the recordings. So I would add a check to make sure the recording folder exists. Windows example below. if not exist W:\DVR exit curl -XPUT http://127.0.0.1:8089/dvr/pruner/deleted
