ChannelsDVR on unRaid, dead after reboot [Solved]

Yes sir, that did indeed fix the problem. Upon reboot Channels DVR is now fully operational with no involvement from me. Just the way I need it in order for my wife to let me cancel the damn satellite TV! =) Thank you for the assist.

One other item I’ll mention just as feedback, not as a critical issue at all. The link provided to the right of “DVR Settings” under unRaid “Settings” -> “Channels DVR” is this: http://:8089. This isn’t new or related to the fix you just did, it’s been that way since I started using Channels on here. Easily worked around by just putting in either the IP or name before the colon but something you might add to your list for later fixing.

I doubt this thread will be particularly helpful to anyone else, feel free to delete it if you’d prefer to keep the board clean.

Can you try to edit /usr/local/emhttp/plugins/channels-dvr/channels-dvr.page and change this line:

<a href="http://<?=$var['IPADDR']?>:8089" target="_blank"><b>DVR Settings</b></a>

to

<a href="http://<?=$_SERVER['SERVER_ADDR']?>:8089" target="_blank"><b>DVR Settings</b></a>

Then refresh the unraid UI and see if the IP shows up

Aman,

Thanks so much for getting both of these issues resolved so quickly. You guys rock!

I know this was solved but I have the same issue going on. When I reboot server channels is moved into plugins-error folder and not started.

Any ideas why?

The issues discovered here should be fixed in the latest version of the plugin. Can you try installing that and see if it survives a reboot?

I have the same issue going on. I’ve installed the latest plugin. It will only survive ONE reboot. After a second / subsequent reboot(s) need to reinstall and enable DVR again.

Advise on how to fix?

Thanks.

Not sure what’s causing this… it might be time to rewrite our unraid app using the newer docker support.
