Chrome Error on Channels DVR TVE Docker Image on Truenas

Hello,

I am trying to deploy a new dvr server using docker through the community apps on Truenas. When I install it and go in and try to add a TVE source I get the error:

"chrome failed to start:
chrome_crashpad_handler: --database is required
Try 'chrome_crashpad_handler --help' for more information."

Any idea how to fix this? I've gone into Support > Troubleshooting and tried to update chrome through there and it gives me the message above again.

I am using the TVE image availabe through the community apps on TrueNAS Community Edition v25.04.1

I'm pretty sure I have my permissions set up correctly as all my other apps have no problems. I have added my OTA HDHomerun onto the server and it has picked it up and loaded the guide data no problem. Just the TVE is giving me issues.

We have many complaints from customers using this TrueNAS package. It appears it doesn’t work right. Someone will need to fix it. In the mean time the docker container works.

Thank you for the reply. I will install portainer and install it through there and see what happens!

EDIT: Solution! I installed Portainer from the community apps on TrueNAS and was able to install channelsdvr onto that with no issues! TVE working fine now!
