Commercial detection for Pluto channels

For most channels the commercial detection feature works great. However, I have found that it doesn't work well for pluto TV channels. I think it is mainly because I am seeming them just plug in this filler pluto TV logo for several meetings.

Any suggestions for how I can improve the detection? Give it more threads? I use mcebuddy to transcode the file and it uses the edl file for commerical detection. I have even tried letting comskip do it without edl file and I get the same results.
Is there a comskip.ini or config file I can tune?
Any help appreciated.

I think Paramount is making changes to the systsm that provide Pluto tv Streaming.
Eventually, the legacy streaming wil either bt modified or disabled.

Which community app are you using for Pluto TV? I'm using FastChannels and mostly don't see the issue you described. I'm a bit behind on the movies I've recorded so possibly this has crept in recently.

Hi there,
I'm using Fastchannels.
Expecting Paramount to add DRM to Pluto.
According to what i have heard, Pluto is being migrated over to the same structure as Paramount Plus.
I would have to run the default app to see what is happening. Pluto is heavily pirated and i expect they won't want to wawste bandwidth.
if no ad impressions are being gathered from users, there is no reason to provide free content.
Simply setting the expectation within reason.

I am using fastchannels. And good to know about upcoming merger. I wondered why they are not sticking ads into this spots.

Are you using Enhanced Detection?

in order to solve the issue, someone will need to check the new app and see what channges were made to the API.
I'm hoping it can eventually be fixed.
When i play fast channels, i like them to play as they were intended.

No, the court agreement that allowed them to merge required the to maintain Pluto as free. They could limit connections to the app. Not worrying about that as it has not happened and if it does I'll deal with it then.

My guess is nobody is paying for that commercial spot.

=Hi there,
Only thing to remember, the way that we consume Plut tv isn't a supported way.
The company doesn't want users hacking the network to access channels.
Pluto provides an app that users are expected to use to watch the stream.
If the hack created in the community create a less desirable experience that is on the community.
Most of th eppopulation that watches these services, use the app and all operates as expected.
When we setup programs that by-pass the app, we get what we get.
let's hope it isn't too bad.
