The Apple TV does supposedly manage space automatically. I wonder if the Apple TV is low on space it’s “trimming” some of the space Channels is using for buffering, which might cause issues. Just a WAG.
I use Apple TV’s exclusively and have never had this issue, but I also don’t install much on mine so they always have tons of free space.
Update - it's been a month now and I've not had an issue since the delete/reinstall.
Hi I have hit the same problem over the last month or so, and thanks to the discussion here I solved it by reinstalling the app on my apple TV.
I'm curious whether I can expect this to be only a temporary work-around or a permanent solution now. stevemac00 posted that it worked for a month or so. I wonder if that was the end of the story or if it requires monthly reinstalls to get rid of the hangs.
I haven’t had any issues since.
