Commercial Skipping Banner

Is there a way to use commercial skipping without the "commercial skipping" banner appearing on the screen?

I had the same request at one point and this was the final answer:

Option to hide the commercial auto skip message

You’d be surprised how jarring it feels without the little notification. There’s a reason we added it. Without it, it feels like something is broken every time. Brains are weird.

I thought we already hid it for verified commercials but perhaps not.

I noticed that this is the case with a virtual channel, not when playing a single recording.

It would still be nice to have a choice to turn it off or on. Everyone has different perceptions. We find it jarring to see the huge banner. Maybe make it smaller or on the screen for less time?

It's even more jarring for those of us in the UK where we have adverts/ads not commercials.
