Comskip problem

I noticed that many shows no longer had commercial skip data. The Detect Commercials option is checked.

Today, I found the system detecting commercials for a movie I recorded and it had been running for 4 hours. Normally the task doesn't take that long. In the log it says "Running commercial detection..." but 4 hours later it wasn't finished. I rebooted the server and selected Regenerate Video Index. The log shows it ran for 49 seconds and finished but there is no comskip data. In the log/comskip folder there are 4 files: comskip.ini, video.log, video.logo.txt and video.text. Current version is 2019.11.23.2304.

Any ideas on how to get comskip for the shows missing the data?

I seem to remember an easier way, but if you're on Linux you can use curl after getting the video ID number... I have a script that looks through the log files after I give it a show and season/episode number and it runs the recomskip. curl -XPUT http://localhost:8089/dvr/files/${NUMBER}/recomskip Edit: replace ${NUMBER} with the actual number if not using a bash variable: curl -XPUT http://localhost:8089/dvr/files/487/recomskip

You didn't let comskip finish.
Maybe your CPU is underpowered and you should have waited longer.
Regenerate Video Index has nothing to do with comskip.

racameron gave you the answer, re-comskip the recording and let it finish.
