Do I need HDHomerun to list antenna channels?

You can buy these for $25 on Amazon (copy/paste the description below into Amazon search bar) and have everything you need as long as you have access to a RG6 coaxial cable and power outlet at each location. Heck, they even have a used set for $14 right now.

Tell your wife that wires are for winners. Just kidding. Good luck!

You could also do a full ethernet network without fishing wires through the wall. You could get cable raceways and put them just on the edge of the crown-molding probably already on your walls at the top or bottom. They make versions of these so they blend right in to the molding. Or, you could even forget the raceways and just get the ethernet cord in a white color and staple it along the end of the wall molding. Nobody would even notice it was there.

You can get a 500ft spool of cat6 for under $50. Not only is it the most versatile and reliable method for networking, but it is also the cheapest solution.

by the way, what difference does it make where the HDHR is located? This is a device that you will plug in and never touch again until you move to a different house.

It doesn’t require it to be right next to the router. I have 2 of my homeruns with cable card up on the main floor and my Quattro attached to the antenna on the 2nd floor and my router is in the basement. And they all work perfectly.

Tried the the WiFi extender and worked good but would disconnect every couple of days so ended up running Ethernet through walls to the tuner because it’s hidden in a closet with the indoor antenna in a spot where I get good reception. Was missing recordings because I didn’t know WiFi router disconnected. Much better hard wired. Nice thing about living on 7th floor of a condo in Florida is your high enough and have flat terrain so can hide stuff.

FWIW mine runs over WiFi. Antenna is in the attic and I routed a cable through the ceiling into a closet on the 2nd floor. The HDHR goes directly into an AP in that closet. The NAS is on the 1st floor hardwired to another AP. All clients are WiFi (mix of Android TV, Apple TV and a Firestick).

Having said that it’s all run over Eero (3 Eero APs for a 2 story, 2400 sqft house) and if I remember correctly Eero use a 3rd channel dedicated to back haul. It’s totally possible with a well planned network. I wouldn’t want to do it with a cheap WiFi box with extenders.
