Docker TVE Image for Channels DVR

Can someone give me a step by step list of how to add a docker image to my synology nas.
I am trying to add youtubetv to my sources after having it for years. and after reading everything i can find here I do not know how to do it.
Thanks

First off make sure your chrome version is updated to version 114. You can do this by going to Support -> then to Troubleshooting. Under TV Everywhere it should show the version you have installed. If its older than 114 you should see a click here to upgrade. I know older versions in the past were blocked. Outside of that Youtubetv has been the hardest to get working due to all the account securities. If I remember right I had to create a new account on youtube then add it to the Youtube family and turn off all the 2fa on your new user so it wouldn't ask when logging in with that account. I am sorry that I don't have more details than that. It has just been to long since the last time I had youtubetv.

As far as I know, YTTV TVE works using the Channels DVR Synology package (I don't use it myself, yet). There are too many conflicting reports about what platforms it actually works on.

To get it to work using a Docker Container on your Synology NAS, you should look at these Topics.

Let us know if any work for you. Planning on trialing YTTV this week on my Synology.

  • CDVR Synology package
  • CDVR TVE container
  • CDVR TVE container (@bnhf version)

Unfortunately, many users asking for help here don't bother to post back whether something works, or not, so you have to figure things out for yourself.

If you're running Channels DVR on your Synology and asking questions about docker, I have to assume you used the Channels DVR Synology Package installer.
If so, just add YTTV as a TVE source.

If you want to use docker containers on your Synology, you're going to have to do some searching and learning.

Best to start with making sure you have the Synology Package "Container Manager" installed and running, then install the Portainer CE docker image, which makes it easier to add and manage docker images and containers.

I solved this issue by buy a pc to run the server on while keeping my recordings on my NAS.
Thanks everyone!
