EPG manage IPTV

So am looking at my IPTV source and trying to optimize the best way to improve it, while assigning the correct EPG. Many EPG only give you a day or three, so would prefer at least a week and half (10 days).

  1. use the IPTV source if they assign an EPG to it.
  2. use the free M3U4U tool to redo the EPG if it has good mappings.
  3. use all available source EPG inside CHANNELS. Wonder why that is not automatic?

Not seeing yet way to automate all this EPG mapping? At least did discovery how to HIDE channels in M3U4U so they do not get imported into CHANNELS.

have u tried https://iptveditor.com/ this might help u if your talking about for a provider

Thank marlon. I have a one year subscription to IPTV EDITOR. They do provide a good service and the learning curve was not too horrible. Think I will try to stick to what is built into CHANNELS to save on costs for next year. Just takes a lot of editing to optimize it all. Truthfully maybe use 200 channels, and hope that's not too much to manage.

You can SLM too as an option

Slm?

PLM is an extension of SLM:

More m3u editors you can install:

Dispatcharr

hdhriptv

m3u-editor

I use SML for all my gracenote assignment including iptv.
don't put your playlists in Playlist manager. You won't have good results.
I'm using a project called m3-editor.
I import my lists and send my desired streams to a custom playlist.
the playlist then goes to PLM and i can assign and use as needed for channels etc.
I can even set the protocol such as hls or mpeg-ts
The playlists are huge. I wouldn't dream of using anyting else.

Make sure to use the postgres SLQL instead of mysql lite.
