For sure- feel free to use Prismcast. But I don't believe Prismcast native has EPG data. And the ability to use FastChannels for the channel/feed management is a bonus.

For sure- on their premium channels, Prismcast has a preconfigured list of Gracenote IDs. But for their FAST Channels, gracenote doesn't have coverage mostly.
Anyway, I'm going to add support for DirecTV premimum and FAST. You guys can use or not use it - i'm pro-choice 
I like the fast channels interface much better. If i can avoid dealing with Prisomcast directly, i'm all for it.
I'm running fastchannels into StreamLink manager with all channels mapped as needed. Between Fastchannels and SLM, i'm covered.

If it requires the bridge, wouldn't it be better to just set it up directly in PrismCast since it's already built in the PrismCast app or am I missing the point?

Although Prismcast can do it directly, when I tried Sling using that I didn't like the fact that switching to a channel via ChannelsDVR, you would periodically see guide from Sling site, mouse move and click channel and then video started. With Fastchannels it avoids that extra navigation logic and thus presents as a cleaner solution. I love that Prismcast has switches and parameters to adjust video processing but by integrating lineup via FastChannels like this, I can now manage all my channels here which is really convenient and get that more polished result.

Any chance you can add Sling account support? It would be a good option in case I want to go back (I have YTTV Sports Only Package but the promo will be done next summer)

I'm on a dedicated M1 Mac mini. My prismcast is not is docker - when I tried to install it via project one click, there was a warning indicator on the container within docker and it used up a ton of CPU without actually being reachable, so I installed via homebrew.
I recently changed the port, which is why it's non-standard, but the results were identical before. The only caveat is there was one instance (out of 20+ attempts) when during the third check it was able to play video the second website, but still couldn't capture. I can't remember the exact wording of the error, but I never saw it again.
For giggles, I'll also include the relevant prismcast log section.
Also, FWIW, this what I see in Chrome when prismcast opens it:
looks like FastChannels is doing its job - it opened that play channel. I'm leaning towards a Prismcast error but lets keep going.
Humor me - open that link directly in Chrome and see if it plays. then we can debug more from there.
so I already have Sling Freeplay (their FAST channels). guessing i could find their endpoints for the paid channels .. i'll dig into it.

Is the link you are referring to http://127.0.0.1:5523/watch/1?_v=3 from the test?
If so, I get this:
Then if I click it will go to full screen mode and I will get video for a few seconds:
Then it will go black for several seconds, and then an image will come back but it will be static with no audio.
Also, it may not be relevant, but thought I should add that prismcast does work as intended with Channels - I can watch espn etc without issue.

Well that explains something…. That particular channel is from DistroTV and requires a proxy.
I need to fix code to not test with that. Get back to you.

Spot on.
Just for perspective, native PrismCast simply opens the consumer view webpage of a stream. And that could include some extra non-sense on the screen.
FastChannels goes a step farther with DRM sources. It actually talks to the DRM license server for each source. Then it uses the direct DASH stream and feeds it into built in player (Shaka). Shaka does the DRM negotiation and then opens a direct stream. Hence, it should be a cleaner stream.
Absolutely nothing wrong with Prism native way- mine is just better

No offense that’s awesome but I’ve been closed multiple times in this forum for drm gry area. Why hasn’t this comment gotten flagged. I have tired multiple times trying to show off my project were I do multiple providers with something similar and no prisma native streams on multiple providers and I get shutdown by the owner of this forum.
Nothing grey about what FastChannels does. I don’t decode any DRM- it’s all still controlled by Shaka which is authorized and completely licensed. All decoding is done inside the browser EME- no different than you watching a normal page that happens to have DRM.
Removing the encryption is where it gets illegal. All good here sir.

I know if I mention about mine I get closed. But I’m having fun got many paid subscription working. And providing user option to continue using channels without the hardware constraints.
