So the m3u I use (which has my Los Angeles satellite channels) for the single encoder won't work for ah4c?

Can you post a screenshot for the Custom Channels Source you're using?

The channel ID in the partial tuning log you posted, isn't the correct format for either the HDMI Capture or ah4c bridge through FastChannels. What you posted is in the <callsign>~<deeplink> format. FastChannels doesn't use deeplinks.

worth mentioning.. I recommend using the "add to channelsDVR" auto function from feeds. theres one for AH4c and one for single-encoder bridge.

Thanks for all your work! I've dream't of having something like this to tack onto Channels SRV. I'm having one issue. I've previously had both uk and US versions of Pluto, and even though I've highlighted both US and UK options in fastchannels I appear to only be getting the US channels. Are we sure we dont have to login to Pluto in fastchannels? I had to on my previous solution (pluto for channels). Thanks. Al

What does the current Custom Channels Source you're using for FastChannels-DirecTV look like? Can you post a screenshot?

That's correct if you're using ah4c by itself. As you can see the Source URL refers back to ah4c for the M3U. The FastChannels ah4c bridge, gets its M3U from FastChannels, and looks like the screenshot I posted. The FastChannels Gracenote M3U you want is found here:

As you can see below, I don't have the options. It must be something with the "stream audit" issue.

I've got this working and my DTV Stream channels are looking good! I am having an issue with audio delay after a while in that it seems synchronized when I start a channel, but if I don't change the channel, there will be a delay that creeps in and gets worse over time and then I have to change to another DTVS channel and come back so it "resets". Is there something in the configuration or setup that I should be looking at to address this? I am using the USB single video capture card.

I'm pretty sure the first suspect would be your Capture Card.

Could you clarify if your intention is to setup FastChannels to use your "virtual encoder" directly (no ah4c involved), or if you're wanting to set it up to use the ah4c bridge? That's what the quote you referenced is referring to, whether you'll use a "CAPTURE/ENCODER STREAM URL" or an "AH4C SERVER URL". It's one or the other.

EDIT: The former supports a single device, the latter (ah4c) supports multiple, managed tuners.

And, I still believe you don't want values in both of those. The toggles though, have descriptions that indicate both are needed.

I remember one person using one on a Mac. Do you have it connected to a USB3 port?

Does your "virtual encoder" (i.e. Capture Card plus CDVR Capture Source) show that hardware transcoding is available and being used? Is the Capture Source on a dedicated CDVR server, or one source of several? Is the server doing other transcoding at the same time? What hardware is in use here?
