I know this isn't a purpose of Channels, though it would be nice to see those movies in Channels. I'm sure it can be done with Stream Links, but that's a lot of work. Be nice if Channels had a way to automate that process.
Channels isn’t likely to ever automate the process of ripping the dvds you own. However, you can import this Local Content and watch your legally owned dvds til your heart’s content.

Where is this "vote"?? This is one of my problems I'm trying to solve.. I have tons of personal DVDs I have ripped to ISO, but not many things plays ISOs, and I'm finding that although MakeMKV works, it is tedious to rename the files correctly so that Channels sees what the file really is. I would love some kind of way to streamline this, and keep the subtitles and chapters in my movies, with the ability to watch in Channels.

Your question is outside of the scope of this thread, but if you mount the ISO, you should be able to rip it using common tools.

Yeah - I can rip it (I use AnyDVD HD) - My issue is a player that understands the ISO format, and/or a good way to auto-name the MKV files.. If I make the MKV files then manually go to IMDB and rename them appropriately, it works great in Channels.. just looking to simplify my process
I’m sure there is a way to script that, but do you really want to replace another human (you) with a robot?
