If SilconDust ever gets their act together and releases DRM support, will that carry over to the channels app? Or are they now completely separate products and their drm progress will have no impact on the channels app being able to play drm content?
Each app has to implement DRM itself and go through the certification process. The biggest thing holding us back at the moment is the lack of any HDCP apis on tvOS.
Gotcha. Thanks for the quick reply. I do worry about Comcast waking up one day and deciding to DRM all channels. 
Has this been brought to Apple’s attention? What do they say?
