NedS over on the hdhr forums said my signal is too hot so I ordered 2x 3 db pad attenuators. Will let you know how it goes. They should be here sunday thanks
So I put in a 3db attenuator before each of my hdhrs and it seems to be helping. thanks.
mine turned out the be that ABC 5.1 never did come in well as it's on lowVHF, but it was simulcast as 5.5 on whatever UHF channel CW 23 was using. now CW 23 is a subchannel on 5 and not where it was before. the antenna from my fathers house does have a better vhf element, but still not very great. I'll likely end up building my own for that channel.

that old FM antenna works great for 2 channels
so it's connected to the Duo.now i just need to figure out how to combine a lowVHF with an already combined hiVHF/UHF
try mounting the antenna on the roof. the higher the better the signal.
yes, I have one mounted on the roof, this was just my patch job til I can mount a proper outdoor one. that fm antennal won't last out there. and actually where i'm at, higher it actually worse. where it's pointed is between trunks of tree's so the signal is more stable. the root of my problem is most antenna's don't do the lowVHF, unless you get a 100mi monster.
