Help. Can’t access recordings on ATVs

Earlier today I was watching my DVR with no issues. Come back 1 hour later and cannot access them. The info I get are “nothing scheduled” and when I click on what has been previously recorded I am greeted with art work and description but no “play”

Update to 3.2.30 from the app store.

How? tvOS doesn’t let you update individuall apps. At least I’ve never seen how to

To update individual apps on your ATV, open the ‘App Store’ app and on the top bar select the ‘Purchased’ tab. On the left side bar select ‘All Apps’ and scroll to find the Channels DVR app (or whatever app you’re trying to update) and click on it to open it.
If there is an update available, on the next page there will be a button which says ‘Update’.

Perhaps some insight here.... I just updated Apple TV OS. Then I could see the update to the Channels app in the App store. Now my recordings are showing.

I too could not see a new version of Channels, but I checked and I didn’t have the latest AppleTV OS, so I’m updating now....

i'm on the latest version of tvOS. I have deleted and reinstalled channels, but still have the old version. I got frustrated and downloaded the Channel DVR app. problem solved.

I love this community! We have four ATVs. Two of them were working (could get to the recordings), and two of them weren't. After reading this suggestion, I updated the Apple software; and, lo and behold, it did the trick! Still, why the other two were fine without having done this step is a mystery to me.

I’ll post here since my topic is locked. 3.2.30 came out after I checked that I had the latest app. I did have the latest app (3.2.29 was released today). Right before I posted the topic, I tried a delete and install and got 3.2.30; thus giving the appearance that a delete and install was required.

Yes my ATVs are on the latest tvOS.

I installed the DVR app instead and I am currently using that without issue. Good thing too because nothing was working. And my wife would’ve been frustrated at not being able to see her recorded shows

Your asking about Apple TV correct. You have to update the app. I had to click and hold on the app icon to get the update pop up.
I believe its version 3.2.30
