Help with new setup (Not working)

New setup, Windows Server 2019. HDHomerun as the tuner. Both Live TV and DVR fail. I can however watch live tv on my Iphone. All of the items in the troubleshooting are green.

With Tuner Sharing enabled, the Client connects to the DVR, which connects to the HDHomeRun and streams the data from the HDHomeRun to the Client via the DVR by holding an in-memory buffer of the recent data, sending a copy to each connected Client. The connection to the network is wired. The HDHomerun is on the IOT vlan and the server is on another vlan. (The reason I am trying to use Channels) I watched the Super Bowl via the HDHomerun app on my TV the other night so it would seem the connection to the HDHomerun is ok but the connection to the server needs to be looked at. Thankyou for giving me an idea where to start. I am going to plug the HDHomerun into the vlan with the server on it and see if it works. I am guessing that it has something to do with routing from one vlan to the other because I can stream Plex from home to my Roku at work just fine from the same server.

Thankyou so much for the info, I can see the problem now... just have to figure out what is causing it. When I run a traceroute from the server on the server vlan it reaches the homerun in 3 hops in 12ms. When I do a traceroute from the homerun on the iot vlan to the server it goes 2 hops to the main router and times out after 30 hops. So I have a routing issue.

HDHRs are extremely touchy to latency. Having it and server on different networks is rarely gonna work as even the slightest delay due to routing will cause failure. Things are designed to and are supposed to be on the same LAN, server, HDHR and clients. You are running a unsupported setup so your milage may vary as far as getting support.

I have it working now, I moved the HDhomerun to the same vlan as the server. I don't really have a routing issue... it is working as it should not allowing things from the IOT side to see things on the Domain side. I suppose I could set a static route to make it work but I think I will just leave it be this way since even a static route will require 4 hops in my setup.
