You are not really reading what i wrote.
(and u said media player, that was not a grammar error, but a separate software that folks get confused with the 2 all the time...if u edited your post to correct that, i did not see that.)
English is not my first written language...so excuse more for screwing up some minor words or the auto correct changes things.

As I wrote, Both are better for each use case mentioned.

There was over 10K active users on the WMC forums last i logged in a few months ago.
I just sold a couple old PCIE based tuners to some folks that still use WMC on Win7. (Even one that uses Win XP Media Center Edition

I really do like Channels, and u bet I will be active enough here to report issues or suggestions to help improve it. I want to see it evolve and mature and become better.
{After all, I did switch to Channels DVR for my TV use full beans now (thanks to TVE support and its easy of use on a ATV box). There is no way I can go back to Comcrap Cable or TV use with Emby now.}
Now, i have made my points of the facts of the cost and compare of alternatives...and see no further reason to go on ward with this with u. Good day. Thanks for your continued feedback and passion for Channels on this forum. (and fyi, if you do not like to read a certain users posts, for whatever reason, u can hide/mute that user
