I'm not sure why it's using i915 here. Should be the xe driver I would think. I'll see if I can force it to use the other one but this was all out of the box so not sure why it's set this way.

Switched to the xe driver and same behavior, although got something different in the logs. Not sure if this was hidden before or a red herring from using the xe driver:

For .15 they're using 7.0. They just released .16 but not sure if they changed to 7.1

Plex uses their own custom build of ffmpeg managed by them. It's based on 5 then I imagine but it's their own.
