Do I need Homerun to use Channels DVR? Can I just use Channels DRV. I use Spectrum cable service.

HD Homerun not needed
Your credentials you use for Spectrum TV App will work.
Don't uninstall your Spectrum App though. You will still need to use it if you want to watch A&E, GSN, Lifetime and a few other not available through TVE.

You won't get some locals also. No CBS, PBS, and sub channels

You don't need other app unless you want to watch networks that don't have streaming access like A&E, GSN, Lifetime and others. Depending where you live you wont have your locals available to TVE either. You still need the Spectrum App to view those. My Spectrum Provider, NBC is the only TVE channel I can get. But I have OTA so I disabled Local TVE. Devices I use Fire TV Cube and Apple TV (Just for the beta testing). I prefer Fire TV simply because Apple TV remote sucks.
