It would be great to have a more compact or condensed option for the library. The text and pictures and very large. If they were all smaller there would be more real estate for shows. I would love to be able to see more than nine shows in each section.

Thanks again, switched from Tivo and loving Channels so far.

Yep, similar request in the DVR area. Just a toggle or option to change to list view instead of Tile view would be awesome.

I completely agree. All lists should be completely configurable. From a developer point of view all lists would be treated the same using same objects/functions to display any list (set of records) in any of the following forms: row list, "item" list, "item" grid:

  • For row lists: select columns to display and their order. Sort on and filter by any and multiple columns. Control text size and spacing
  • For "item" lists: an "item" is a row of a list shown as a block. Columns can be placed anywhere inside the block. Think of a miniature customizable web page. Sorting, filtering, size and spacing also apply.
  • For "item" grids: same as "item" list, but multiple blocks per row.

For example the current DVR Manage page would be considered an "item" list.

Think how wonderful having your own custom view of your collections and filtered channels etc. would be!
