My wife is a road warrior who is about to start travelling again. Is there a way to download local copies of TV shows to her iPad for her time in the sky?
There is not. We plan to add this in the future.
For now, you can use other apps like VLC or Infuse and just copy your recordings directly to the iPad since the files are available right on your hard drive.
Is there a way to do this when I’m out of the home, or I need to hook my iPad up to my computer in order to do it?
It depends on what kind of computer you have. From a Mac you can airdrop it propably, so no cable needed in that case. That would be outside of the Channels apps though, so there are numerous ways.
