MacOS User Account

I have my Channels DVR installed on an iMac. Multiple users use the machine and I installed the channels app on my account. The issue is that the Channels service runs only on my account so it does not function if I am not logged in. Why? Nearly any other program installed on Mac will span all accounts. What is the solution? This is a major issue since I am often out of town and the machine may cycle.

Please advise.

Looking at the script - it appears to install to the directory of the user as opposed to the systems application directory. Any documentation for proper install for Mac?

There is a way to install it system-wide, but it breaks hardware encoding. Here are the instructions via Terminal.app:

cd ~/Library/Application\ Support\ChannelsDVR
./uninstall.sh
./install.sh --system

See Can Channels DVR run on macOS 10.12.3 w/o login? for discussion about the encoding limitation

Disregard original message - hardware encoding did fall off after reboot.

Thanks! Hardware encoding option persisted through a system restart. Seemed to have worked without issue - is there something I am missing?
