Missed DVR Recordings

Thanks, well at least it is back up and running again. However, still have the failed to record issue and it is still chucking out the same error regarding ‘awaiting response headers’. If I connect directly to the HD Homeruns webpage then I can play the resulting stream directly in VLC. This leads me to believe it is an issue with the Channels DVR rather than anything else.

The response header timeout is set to 6 seconds. So the DVR tries to open http://192.168.1.206:5004/auto/v3 and doesn’t get anything back for 6 seconds. I’ve only seen this happen before due to security software, like Norton, Bitdefender, etc.

If it’s working from VLC, then I guess something is affecting the DVR only somehow. What’s strange too is that the connection works, but getting data back is what’s timing out. In VLC, how long does it take before the stream starts playing? More than 6 seconds?

I do use Bitdefender. Will disable that and see how if that makes a difference.

and that fixed it…Thanks for all your help! Will work it through from that side now!

Great! There’s been a few users recently that have been hit by Bitdefender, which is why I thought to mention it. If you can figure out the correct way to configure Bitdefender with Channels DVR and post instructions/screenshot on how to make them work together, that would be great!
