New Beta version does not show srt files

New beta dropped the closed caption, but the released version now works with closed caption. Is anyone else having this issue on their Apple devices with the Beta version?

Thanks for mentioning it.

Some major changes happened here due to the new Extras feature, which is based on how sidecar subtitles were supported.

We expected it to not affect this, but we’ll look into it.

OK after extensive testing, it appears that everything is working on our end.

Please submit diagnostics from your Channels DVR Server web admin and let us know what movie isn't working, that you knew worked before.

We might have figured it out. Seeing your diagnostics would confirm it.

The latest PreRelease should resolve this issue.

You’ll need to manually refresh the metadata for the movies affected.

The new version just was uploaded and it still didn’t work. I refreshed a movie I knew had an srt file. It works in the released version but not in the beta version. I did send my diagnostics previously, but just sent them again from the beta version. I have so many files that have srt files as I have recorded many movies and tv shows. It was working before in the beta version, so it’s frustrating that it does not now. I’m watching from the released version and it works fine. Just don’t want the released version to be updated to this because it doesn’t work. Just to be clear these are files I am viewing from an upload from my computer.

@Juls1870 Your Channels DVR Server is out of date. You need to be on the pre-release version of Channels DVR Server while using the beta version of the Channels app.

Otherwise, stick to using the Release version of Channels.
