Can anyone tell me the path to the Channels DVR Server (Beta) apk? I’m having a hard time locating on my Shield (non-pro).
Not sure what you mean. There is no DVR server beta, and apk files are not available after an app is installed.
It works great for me. I have never had any problems with it. I’ve only been using it about a month and a half though, so after reading this thread I’m assuming that it has gotten a lot better than it used to be. I’m using the 16GB Shield with a 4TB WD Elements Portable drive formatted as external storage. I first set it up as adopted internal storage and it worked fine, but it bothered me that my hard drive was always spinning. After making the transition to using external storage, the hard drive now spins down when not in use. This is the perfect solution for me. I have no complaints at all. I also use my Shield as a Plex server and both seem to run fine together.
