OK to Upgrade to TvOS 11.0?

Since the ATV is our primary viewing device for TV via HDHR Prime, I can’t take the chance of Channels not working properly. Any issues upgrading?

v2.1.39 was released to the tvOS app store yesterday and fully supports tvOS 11

I upgraded to TvOS 11.0 day one and my family has watched live and recorded shows since. I haven’t heard any complaints from them. I haven’t watched much since the upgrade but I have noticed very minor “skips” on live TV. Otherwise all good. I’d recommend you upgrade.

I was able to reproduce this issue with the NHL game recording that @turtletank sent me. The recording was very high bitrate (18mbps), and produces a hiccup every ~5s where some frames are dropped and video jumps ahead slightly. I downgraded to tvOS 10.2.2 (using this ipsw) and the issue went away. On tvOS 10, Channels requires about 80% CPU to playback high-bitrate mpeg2. This is pretty high, but still leaves enough room for the OS and UI to function. If you're just watching TV with no UI, …
