Give us a clue as to where to find the links, github? etc.
Thanks

yes please

THanks for all your repsonses Epg is located here. https://i.mjh.nz/PBS/all.xml.gz I will get a dropbox or gdrive for the m3u . One you have it it is yours. pbs has only one major change their m3u and it was this year. All codes became invalid Think it was caused by the funding issue the other 2 changes were they added more channels so no need for contsant updates unlike other streams. you may seem some station icons missing they retired some of their png directories so i blanked them out.

Sure once you have the PBS m3u you can custom it to whatever you like . I have all the stations in the us

I can't figure out how to take all that data and create the M3U scripts that channels can read.

:warning: :warning: :warning:

The changes to funding are literally a week old and do not have immediate impact. You are making false suppositions and equivalency, which makes me wonder a lot about other things...

This is not EPG guide data you developed. This is made by @matthuisman and you should credit him. Also, Channels DVR users do not need guide data for PBS stations as we can map them to real data with Gracenote IDs. I previously compiled a list available here.

That same publicly available, open source table has all the links to the icons, too, as well as other useful data.

PBS has had several changes over the years, not the least of which is DRM. Which brings me to...

Anyone can get the links directly to the stations at any time in methods described above. However, Channels DVR cannot decrypt DRM by itself. Without a way to deal with the DRM, the links in the m3u are useless. That is what @miibeez's Docker does and what PLM builds on top of to be able to get every PBS Station.

Also, since you seem to promising something without any details of how it might work with no public anything, trust level is zero. I implore everyone here to NOT DOWNLOAD anything without proper vetting. Although this is about Docker, the same still applies:

Anyway, this is all setting off my...

That link he sent is for the Guide data which is always LONG and cannot be use to derive the m3u.

thank you fit505 i said i would dropbox the m3u to you.

Since i am a new user i was locked out after 3 replies .
OK here is the link to directory PBS. https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fo/faocmb2xxfts7qfaqlzam/AGlAAusjQ4u3bSUvuOE13S8?rlkey=wbkfb835yki3ohbr6z9qgm5ky&e=1&st=33dmkomu&dl=0

I will put an instruction file in there later for non kodi users but for now kodi users can try it . Just make sure you add to the iptv simple pvr client progam "input stream helper" Channels are sorted by state in the file. Rename it .pbs.txt to .m3u after you download it.

Well it is nice being here to the other experts You made all false assumptions. this is my epg generated by my python program that I have create and mapped currrently 88 zipcodes from zap2itv tv in august of 22 I send this every night to Matt Husimann I have ran this epg for 3 years with one exception without one drop in coverage un
til zap2it tv shutdown some said because of abuse then moved to gracenote. They resticted the headers and the change gets went to posts and the aid to orbebb i send 20 zipcodes at a time and sleep it for 15 seeconds I cache both channels and episodes. jobs runs 2 minutes so i dont tick them off.

Looks good, I am non kodi, waiting for the m3u version.
Thanks

thanks the primary channels are drm as dash files but the secondary channels like pbs kids and you will see in file weta_uk commented Wash DCs UK channel are non drm and hls youu can put them in any recording system easily. I was thinking of making a seperate m3u for them and since the programming is static accos the US I would pick a city with the most extra channels in each of the 4 time zones

Hmmmm, I saw the drm and user-agent references in the kodi txt file.
Channels will not allow drm nor would I ever try to use that.
I also have never figured out how to use user-agent, headers etc in Channels.
The m3u you have needs to be a straightforward m3u like the pbskids streams it seems to me,
just a simple m3u with no drm user-agent etc.

OK thanks for telling me this is i thought this was just a bulletin board for channels sounds like this is a program that you use. What does it exaclty do. Did you see the Weta uk one. this is what you are looking for ? i can then give you guys an m3u for all the these type of channels. What I am confused of is cant you just load kodi on a simple super cheap andorid box and run the m3u in there without this channels thing. You never have to generate any m3u the widevine licenses don't expire and the actual pbs http channel codes change once since they coverted from non drm to drm . i started watching PBS in 2021. when It was simple to I am from Italy if my user name doesnt give it away

And just to let you know...
Any talk about circumventing DRM is not tolerated on this Community Forum.

Nevermind i looked it up I see why this would be an issue with this program. probably doesn't do dash either which seems to be a problem with recording systems . I use tvheadend . It doesnt like that format. I never record anything on PBS because there are so many channels I can watch half of it in one hour and another in the next hour on another statiion

removing link to pbs m3u file

Sounded promising for a bit.
Adios amigo.
Woops, Italy. Sorry. LOL.
