Philo TVE issue

Hello,

I keep having to rescan my Philo TVE channels. The problem is that the channel produces an error with this in the logs:

12/03 21:23:00.815994 [ERR] Could not start stream for TVE-Philo ch6088 IFC: TVE: Could not fetch playlist from bcovlive-a.akamaihd.net: GET: https://bcovlive-a.akamaihd.net/fd67e3f72ba8408c850c50af8e7a32bd/us-west-2/6240731308001/04a596c099694037bd4913b752a12a47/playlist_ssaiM.m3u8: 400 Bad Request

What does this error mean? Why would it cause me to need to rescan? This has happened multiple times recently. I have just installed a new docker instance after changing NAS hardware.

Any help appreciated
Thanks

Update to the latest DVR pre-release DVR Pre-Release Notes - #1898 by fancybot

Thanks, I will see if it helps. Forgive me for being daft, but the link you provided, what is my takeaway from that….i am missing it.

Thank you

It's a link to the latest pre-release version number 2025.11.26.2338.
Here's how to update Pre-Release access for DVR subscribers

Can you log in with your Provider (Philo?) at the IFC website Watch Live TV Stream | IFC and watch live there? I can.
If you can, then submit diagnostics from your DVR.

I can't watch IFC in Channels DVR either.

I just rescanned the IFC channel and it's working now.

I am sure it is not IFC's issue. When it happens it is more than one channel. after a rescan the channels will be fine.

Could be Channels DVR.
It appears the error we both got was from trying to stream IFC West and after rescanning the channel it's now using IFC East.
Of course, we have no control over that and the developers aren't being as responsive as they used to be for TVE issues.

Nice catch on the east coast / west coast thing (reminds me of the 90s).

I wonder how long TVE will be around anyways.

I never relied on TVE since the start, knowing it was Beta and streaming.
It's getting less support from the devs lately, so who knows how much longer.
Like cable-card, DRM, ATSC 3.0, etc. Everyone is looking for alternative sources.
Unless they just want to watch outside of Channels DVR.
