Check the drive where your Channels data is stored. You should have:
\Channels Data\PlayOn\Movies
and
\Channels Data\PlayOn\TV
If you have these, what is in "Movies"
If your movies are there, go to Settings->Sources->Personal Media
On the top line, click on the Settings Gear drop-down.
First select "Scan Personal Media".
Then select "Prune Removed Media".
Then restart server or reboot computer.
If you still have movies on your hard disk but not in Channels, you have gotten into a situation that should not happen but sometimes happens.
Here is how to recover.
- Create a folder at the same level as "Channels Data". I call mine "Fix Up", you can call yours anything you want.
- Create two sub folders under "Fix Up" called "Movies" and "TV"
- Cut and paste the movies from your PlayOn\Movies folder to your Fix Up\Movies folder.
- Go to Settings->Personal Media->Movies->Manage Folders->Add Folder.
- Browse to the Fix Up\Movies folder and add it in.
- For future use, you might want to also add in en entry under TV for the Fix Up\TV folder.
- Go back to Personal Media->Settings-Scan Personal Media.
- Prune Removed Media.
- Restart Channels server, or reboot computer.
If this solved your problems, keep the Fix Up folder for future screw-ups. They should not happen often.
