Playlist Item Count does not update when ChannelsDVR app is not forced closed

When the ChannelsDVR app on the Apple TV is not forced closed, the item count is not updated as items are added or deleted. When the app is force closed and then reopened the count is accurate.
The attached image shows the screen shot where the item count is off.
When one goes to a Playlist and then scrolls down to the bottom of the list, that count is correct.

Seeing the same on an iOS client running latest t e s t f l i g h t beta 5.21.146.

I have Playlists setup using smart rules to show only UNWATCHED episodes of some shows.
After watching an episode, the playlist count doesn't change and the watched episode still displays in the playlist in the iOS client. It also still displays in the DVR web UI smart rules Playlist (DVR v2025.05.20.1833).

In my case, even a force quit and restart of the iOS app doesn't fix it. I went into the web UI and changed the sort order for the playlist. It then refreshed and removed the watched episode.

Had to reword my post. Forum doesn't allow the word f l i g h t

Seeing the same thing, I wish the IOS app would automatically update playlists every 30 minutes. I'm using a news playlist to time shift daily news casts, but it always stops playing when it thinks it's caught up even though there are new recordings that should be in the playlist since playback was started.

watching for this capability, Preferably on Android, but I may have to get Atv if/when this works. I just really don't want to accept their TOS, I never have.

Please try this latest pre-release DVR build. It should fix this issue. Previously the playlists were only updated every 4 hours.

I must be doing something wrong, My playing playlist ended, and when I exited to the playlist, I find 2 more unplayed entries. I would expect that the playlist would continue if there are still listed items in it. Of course both of the entries are new recordings that came in while the playlist was playing, I guess there is no way for it to know new recordings have been added since it was started, and just keep on going. I hope this is not confusing.

No, the video player plays what is in the playlist at the time you hit play. It does not get items added to it during playback.

So if you have 5 videos in your playlist, when you hit play it queues those 5 videos.

Disappointing but moving on. Thanks
