IMDB is part of Prime. So if you have Prime you can access IMDB stuff with playon.

It has really gotten better lots of great free shows. I like the Highlander and it has all the seasons.
We have been watching Fringe via Prime via IMDBtv and its not bad. The quality of the stream is good, and the commercials aren't ridiculous. For many breaks there is only one commercial, and the most I've seen is 3. And there are only about 4 breaks in an hour show. Also, if you need to rewind and go back you can FF through commercials you already watched. The only weird thing is pause and play sometimes causes it to jump back several minutes, which bugged me until I realized I could FF back through commercials.
No, I haven't tried it yet. I got roped into repainting our granddaughter's playroom this past weekend and what part of the last week I wasn't covered in paint, I was in agony on the sofa taking Advil. Hopefully this weekend I can give it a run.

Someone over on TCF just confirmed they can record from IMDb TV to PlayOn. Game on!
Yeah, PlayOn records IMDB TV just fine, but for me the short commercials (30 seconds) don't automatically skip. Longer commercials do.

This last update for PlayOn Cloud (4/22), I see under Settings>Video Quality, they have added 1080p recordings for 3 credits.

This is fantastic news! I received a survey from them about 2 months ago that asked about this specific possibility.
I do wish they had kept the credit requirements down to 2 per recording, but I will pay 3 for it.

I see now how they gonna make you use credits over Playon desktop ... I downloaded a recently released fighting movie from a video game (not mentioning name) ... I downloaded in the cloud and playon desktop ... Playon Desktop at the highest setting gave me 720P from the cloud I got 1080I.
Seems a bit steep to be 1 credit for 900MB/hr and 3 credit for 1100MB/hr.
I have been using playon desktop for a few years. It's not bad but it sucks that you only get 720p & you are not able to record live tv, but from what I'm reading that playon cloud is now in 1080p, I'm thinking they never are going to enable desktop 1080p recording because they have recurring revenue with the cloud. That's why I love channels because I'm recording live TV & it's better image quality.
The Playon cloud now offers 1080p. It will cost three credits. I have the cloud and the download is 720 good quality and it is easy to record and the cloud will download to your desktop to integrate in Channels.
