PlexTV Guide help needed - Gracenote and NoGracenote

I hope the following description is coherent.
Recently, the EPG data for PlexTV channels is missing or just weird. PlexTV channels with no Gracenote data have guide cells with just placeholders for the time and the Home cell is empty. A message comes up that says there's nothing available on this channel.
Channel guide cells with Gracenote data are just a solid cell. For these, the guide information is there when I select the Home cell. The schedule is there for at least a week but as mentioned doesn't show up in the guide cell.
Some specific channel names:
The channels with no information at all are in the Gracenote source. Some of the names I'm interested in are Farscape, Classic Doctor Who, BBC Travel and a few others.
The channels with Time placeholders are Documentary+, FilmRise movie channels and Sherlock Holmes.
I've tried changing numbering from Ignore M3U channel number to prefer channel number from M3U.
I also tried restarting the docker image. The version running is ghcr.io/jgomez177/plex-for-channels:5.1.2
I confirmed by watching PlexTV using the PlexTV app that the guide information is there.
One thing I haven't tried yet is to remove and recreate both sources.

If the PlexTV EPG has gone wonky I'll have to accept that. Anyway, thanks for any advice.

You might want to give this Project a try

I don't think @joagomez is maintaining the image anymore

Another thing worth mentioning is that anytime you change things in a source you should delete and recreate the guide database in CDVR.

I'm sure I should know what your referring to but I don't. I'm not sure where to look for that to delete it. Do I need to log into the docker instance to do that? I'm putting that effort on hold though because I installed the FAST channels aggregator. Thanks for mentioning that in your reply to my post. To continue trying to fix the PlexTV docker source could just be wasted effort.

This FAST project is amazing and quite full of detail. It appears that KineticMan thought of every eventuality. I may just remove the PlexTV source as there are so many holes in its EPG.

It takes some time sort through the resulting huge set of channels into a list that can be dealt with. One of the issues is that some duplicates have better guide information than others. I've have already been dealing with that small detail when comparing Tubi, Pluto, Plex and Samsung TV. Another thing to watch for is that channel categories are not necessarily what they seem. It's not a big deal at all though since channels are so easy to enable and disable.

Even though it's necessary, I cringe every time I do this, because I know it's hitting their servers to retrieve the EPG. And some settings you change and save automatically repull the EPG.

I wish the Channels DVR Server settings were documented as well as some of the 3rd part projects.

Although the original problem I described was not solved the way I expected, the FAST source is working great for me

There is only one issue that I am having with the image. All of the channels are mapping to Channels DVR with 6 digit numbers. The "Master Channel Number Start" number I specified appears to apply only to the aggregated channel source. I'll take that to a different thread unless you have a quick solution you can suggest. If the channel number were directly mapped 1:1, it would be easier to prune the channels with the least EPG data.

Thank you!

Post it in the FastChannels Project Topic thread.
I'm waiting for the flurry of version updates to slow down before I finish configuring it.

That's brilliant! I have to step away as I am finding that I can't keep up. Ohhhh, my head hurts!
