I may have spoken too soon. Everything was fine for about three weeks, and now suddenly I am having problems recording or streaming anything from out of home with read-only file system errors. I don’t have physical access right now, but can ssh.
Any suggestions beyond reformatting and starting over? I submitted diagnostics. Not sure how to get file system logs to figure out what is going on here.

Read only can happen when there are errors detected and cannot be fixed. If you attach to windows and run chkdsk it should fix them. Unfortunately the Linux exfat fsck is missing many features.
Ok. Will try when I can I physically access. I don't have a windows machine anymore but I think I have an old VM I can spin up.
Fixed. I got it to work with Mac fsck_exfat since I don't have an ARM VM!
