Like every hour on the hour ... I am sure they do not want their servers to be hammered constantly for guide updates, when none might be needed.

You could create a user defined script in Synology Task Manager that runs Mondays at 5pm Eastern time to update the guide data using the command
curl -XPUT "http://127.0.0.1:8089/dvr/guide?force=true"
where 127.0.0.1:8089 is the ip address and port of your Channels DVR server

You may want to change the time it runs to somewhere between 6pm and 8pm Eastern time.
The guide updates for the Teams TBA schedules didn't happen today until about 5:30pm Eastern time.
