I'm curious if anyone else is seeing this. I add "Last Week Tonight" on MAX and generate stream links. It pulls in links for season 10 for the entire season. However it only pulls in links for season 11 to episode 16. Season 11 episode 23 is the latest episode. I don't understand why it is not populating episodes 17-23.
If you follow these steps, you'll see:
It looks like JustWatch only has the "Max on Amazon" and "Spectrum" links while missing regular "Max" links from episode 17 onward. You'll have to take it up with them as highlighted in the process above.
Unfortunately the AppleTV workaround I mentioned above doesn't work with that season either since JustWatch doesn't list that service offering it. When I tried, it just assigned the same MAX links you got. The AppleTV service only offers S8.
Hopefully with our reports to JustWatch, they will fix these underlying issues.
I'm really enjoying the new features — this feels so polished.
One thought I had while using it today was whether it would make sense (or if it is even possible) to have the search results show what services the show/movie appears on. I had somebody recommend a couple shows to me today, and say, "They're on Netflix." I just added them using SLM, but the show names were fairly generic names, and I had several options to pick from in the search results. I had to do some searching elsewhere (such as checking the release date and look up the poster art) to make sure I was picking the right ones.
Just a heads up for the stream link lovers out there. We added new Smart Rules to help filter your content, including rules for if TV Shows have stream links.
If you’re managing Personal Sections, these might come in handy:
Earlier, I said (buried in a much larger response):
I did look more into doing this, and it is still very possible, but would be a pretty big PITA. I laid some groundwork into the code in case I did decide to pull the trigger. However, I'm also concerned about processing time. Right now, results are fairly instant. To make this happen, basically, for every title, I'd have to loop through and find all its offers and then send that to html, and the webpage has to render that in its own loop. Meanwhile, it is already in a loop of the search results themselves, so it would be a loop in a loop.
I might spend some time kicking it around, but no promises on this request!
Issues with Hulu's "Only Murders in the Building" with missing episodes.
Things look fine at first:
but then:
and
I had the option "Prefer Hulu" for the whole show.
Then when I saw the missing episodes, I manually edited the show and deleted the missing episodes one by one. After that, I ran the process GET NEW EPISODES
and that came back with the missing ones as shown above.

Nvm, wrong thread.
This is exactly the same as this post above:
Following the same directions, you'll see:
JustWatch is missing the links for the episodes you can't generate, hence SLM can do nothing. I've noticed recently some shows will have a bunch of episodes disappear for a day or two and then come back. It's something on their side, but please feel free to reach out to them through the steps outlined above and in the Troubleshooting / FAQ
section.
You should never need to do this and I do not recommend doing so except in dire situations.
There is no "memory" for how you set Special Actions
as they are stored per episode/movie. When you deleted them, you deleted everything about them. They then came in as raw new episodes with no settings.
Shower thoughts:
If a show on Netflix is removed from the service, and it’s not available on any other service, on the next nightly scan, SLM will remove it from Channels, correct? If it then later on returns to Netflix, or any other service I’m subscribed to, will it just automatically return to Channels? Assuming JustWatch updates their database, of course.
Asking so I can know what to expect when this sort of thing happens inevitably in the future. Perhaps a future update to SLM could have an alert list that informs the user about such library changes that they didn’t manually invoke?
Speaking of manual changes, when edits are needed for a show already being tracked by SLM, it would be great if this page had a pulldown menu at the top, that could be applied to all episodes below. I did this on a couple of shows and it took awhile to change each and every individual episode, one pulldown at a time.
It ended up being quicker to just delete the show from SLM entirely and re-add it fresh.
For example, in this case, I'd want to change all the episodes to Amazon Prime. Just for this show, though. Prime is lower on my priority list than other streaming services.
The reason I'm asking for this is because the way SLM works, I'm not always sure what service JustWatch / SLM will assign it to, until after the .strmlnks are created. Being able to edit it quickly after the fact, would be great.
100% correct. Also, if you unsubscribe from a service for a time, the same will apply.

Also get lots of info about additions, not just deletions. Last night, I got a new streaming service and some episodes of a show:
This is a back-burner request. Modify
works a bit differently than Add
, so I've been hesitant to screw with it too much until I'm sure that the functions all work as expected during Add
. I'm going to add this and the request above about seeing Streaming Services during search to the Issues
area of the Github Repo as "enhancement requests" so that these types of things are being tracked somewhere visible.
Ah yes, sorry, I didn't connect the dots.
Thank you for the explanations.
I will add the missing links manually and I should be good to go.
@babsonnexus do you think it would be possible to show the bottom of the Live Process Log (While Running)
window so it always shows the current actions in real time (similar to the tail
command)?
Currently, once the window is filled, that's all you see while it's still working, only the first actions and there is no way to change it while it's working.
I like the NEW & UPDATED
feature and I think it would be even better if there was a filter to show only movies or shows at a time.
Live Process Log
already puts the most recent action on top. It may not be noticeable because many of the actions are exactly the same and it's moving rather rapidly. Note the timestamps are getting closer to now the more you move up, but only by milliseconds:
I've added an enhancement request to the Github repo.
New short video to explain the concept and help others understand the benefits of Stream Link Manager for Channels!
@babsonnexus Thank you so much for building this tool! I had to do a little Googling to resolve a port issue on my Mac Mini, but soon had it up and running.
SLM has helped me better understand both the power of stream links and why I don't want to have to set them all up manually.
Yes, thanks for this, I'll remind myself to scan it and pay more attention when interfacing with SLM in the future. Perhaps those "removals" could be bolded to stand out more than the other lines in the log? Or maybe a “filter” function would be useful here? Mine's just a long list to parse every time, it's not very intuitive.
Also I know shows we manually remove from CDVR get marked as "watched" in SLM and they don't return unless we override that. But how do shows that are removed from services get marked? The same?
Because now I'm thinking about the impact of using SLM in the years ahead, for those with very large libraries (or just "queues of shows they intend to watch") and for the benefit of future users or family members who may not interface with SLM regularly.
Let's say we add a show or movie we intend to watch. It may sit in our CDVR library for months or a year before we actually get into it. The let's say, during that time it gets removed from its streaming service, and it's not available on others we're subscribed to, and nobody checked SLM notifications about it, it would be removed from our CDVR UI and it would just fall "out of sight, and out of mind." As if it was never there to begin with.
Perhaps this is a good back-burner request too, but what I was thinking would be excellent for SLM is a section that shows us a list of content from our bookmarks that is "Currently Unavailable." That way we can explore it easily at least, at any time through the months of aggregative content, and decide if we want to subscribe to a new service to stream that particular content now, or to purchase the title outright from a digital storefront, in order to get it back in our CDVR libraries.
