Set up Channels to run as a service and it can no longer access network sources

With my channels host pc being moved to a remote location, I loved the idea that it could be set up to run as a service, so that's what I did a couple days ago. However, I've noticed that Channels can no longer access programs in the library that are in the Local Content folders located in other network locations.

I'm guessing this is because Channels is running without leveraging my account on the PC and therefore does not have permissions for those other sources. Is there a workaround for this where once I AM logged into the PC, Channels could then take advantage of those extra permissions?

You need to setup the Service with the local user name.

I wasn't able to stop the service to apply the change, but a restart did the trick. It's working now. Later, I think I should create a service account as suggested to give limited network permissions, but I'm not sure how that works regarding being logged into the PC with a privileged account while the Channels Service is running under another account. I'm guessing those two things can be done simultaneously, but I'm not sure if I've ever tried it.
