It isn't all that big, but we're going from a 2300 sq ft house (which we've been in for 30 years) to a 35' motor home, and we've pretty much filled the available storage. There may be a couple of spots, but I also need power, so that limits the choices without doing some wiring. BUT that is still an option.
Well... One of my other projects is upgrading the coach batteries and solar panels. We have an inverter in place that powers the TVs (and a few other things) and I want to power the DVR as well so if we are off grid, we will still be able to watch TV. There is a smallish cabinet above the main TV that already has an outlet that is powered from the inverter, so having the DVR in that cabinet or behind that TV would be ideal.
Your mention of the laptop having a built-in monitor (and keyboard and mouse) reminded me that I don't have any of those currently. I have an iPhone, iPad and laptop. It seems that having a monitor, keyboard and mouse would be needed to set up a Pi or NUC
. Maybe I can borrow those.
